My Sister's Keeper #3

At the beginning of each chapter is a quote from different authors and such. What did you make of these, did they confuse you or help tie things together? Was there one that stood out to you specifically? If so, why?

First Impression-My Sister's Keeper

I am not sure how far into this book you guys are, but what are your first impressions? Specifically, what do you think of creating a perfect genetic match for your terminally ill child? Make sure you don't give too much of the book away...no spoilers just yet!

Bachelorette Recap...Spoiler Alert!!!

"I woke up with a case of the DeAnna's!"...Spoken by Ron

It's that time again folks! Now, I know that many of you may have stumbled upon my blog through a Google search for the Bachelorette Spoilers...Don't be disappointed. I will be doing a live recap of the show each week, giving a summary from my point of view and my predictions for the guys. It will hopefully be entertaining and informative! To my loyal readers...this is for you too! Here is last weeks summary!

The show starts the same way it has every time...with the Brad recap. Are they seriously going to show that every time. We get that Brad dumped her and she has since moved on. Let us move on as well!

As I posted last week, I wanted the editors to show some time in the house. Well, they must have read my blog because that was the first thing we got to see. Of course, this included solely clips of the guys and DeAnna in their swim suits, which wasn't a problem because it included Graham...Have I mentioned that I love him!!!?!? Oh, I did? Moving on. Have I also mentioned that Jeremy annoys me? I know he is sweet, but seriously, I am just not feeling it.
First One on One Date goes too...

The first one on one date went to the Science teacher, Richard. He lived in the house last week with DeAnna, and from their date we learned that he made her laugh a lot. Her main goal was to see if there was chemistry...could he light her fire. So, here is what he says to her, "True False, You absolutely have to take risks for love?" After DeAnna answer yes, he proceeds to give her the sexy eyes, but she wasn't feeling it. Poor Richard didn't get the rose and was immediately sent home in a taxi.

Up next was the group date which included everyone but Richard (obviously because he was sent home) and Jason, who had the other one on one date. They went to a ranch where they learned how to line dance and rode a mechanical bull. DeAnna decided to pull a "I got hurt falling off the bull" stunt to see who would come to her rescue. It appeared that everyone but Ron came rushing to her side, he was busy drinking a beer. Red Flag!

DeAnna pulls a few of the guys aside to have some alone time with them. She started with Jesse. How great is he. I hope he stays around for awhile. If he isn't right for DeAnna, some smart girl is going to see what a great guy he seems to be. When asked about his previous relationship, he said he broke up with her because she started to identify herself as a girlfriend and not an individual. It was great how he spoke of his desire to have a woman who defines herself and isn't defined by her significant other. What a challenge that is though! Then came the one on one time with Ron. Man, DeAnna came into this with her gloves raised. The first thing she asked about was why he was giving poor little Jeremy a hard time. I thought that was weird. Jeremy doesn't need a big sister out to protect him. But, she had the right to ask. It just seems like all the time Ron and DeAnna spend together is so awkward. Red Flag!

Fred, whom we hardly ever see, and Graham came to interrupt her one on one time with Jeremy. Seriously, I am not a Jeremy fan. It ended with Robert have some time with her where he opened up about how he is really into her. It kind of lessened my strong feeling about him from last week! He ended up getting the rose for the group date.

The last date was the one on one with Jason. I wasn't too sure about him last week, but this week, I like him better. He is a single dad whose ex-wife decided she wanted out. What a blow. They had a great date which included a helicopter ride and some amazing star watching. He got a rose as well!

How great was it that Ellen was on the show! She is hilarious. I love that she made the guys dance and she seemed pretty right on about her impressions of the guys. Although I love Graham, the fact that his longest relationship since high school is a red flag. Now, if he has to travel a lot, that is only an excuse for so long. In the end, Ellen gave the rose to Fred, who really opened up about how he felt for DeAnna.

In the end, Paul and Ron did not receive a rose.

It wasn't a surprise that Ron didn't get a rose, but I was surprised about Jeremy. I know he is young, but I thought it would have been Twilley or Sean...

I just don't see the connection between them. Those two, Twilley and Sean and possible Brian are my votes for who will go next week.

This is Brian...

The previews for next week looked good. DeAnna is brought to tears during a bbq over at the guys house. I am a little nervous though as it seems like she and Graham get into a bit of a disagreement. Guess we will have to wait until next week.

Until then... let me know what you thought.

Bachelorette...SPOILER ALERT!

I love this show. Have I told ya'll that? I am living vicariously through DeAnna...although I would really not want to be in her shoes. It was another good show, although not as amusing as the first. Here are a few things I have a problem with. First, why are they not showing footage of what is happening in the house? I want to see what happens when they are hanging out, eating breakfast, watching tv, playing games. We saw ZERO of that this time. So, ABC Editors, if you happen to be reading this, please work on that for next time! Second, why do they not have a shower curtain? Are guys really that open with each other? I know they answer, most of them yes, but seriously? I think that is a bit extreme.

Ok, now on to the guys!

I love Graham! I am so glad that she had this fairy tale vision of their date together. He is a hottie, but can't fly a kite worth a zip! I thought it was good of DeAnna to ask the hard questions and really pry these guys. I don't think it's weird that he hasn't had lots of serious relationships. He seems open. Just because you date a lot of guys doesn't mean you are more open or know what you want any more than someone who hasn't been around the block as many times. Maybe he has less to compare too and is more of a blank slate. I really like him and hope she keeps him around for awhile!
Seriously, what hasn't he told her about his son? I am wondering what happened to his wife...wait, I am going to look at his bio on the ABC website...That was a waste of time. It tells where he is from, his age and occupation, no dirt.
This guy oozes STDs. He seems like one of those guys who thinks he is really hot and a great guy in bed, but is really just a gross guy who sleeps with a bunch of drunk girls. Not a fan...hate that she picked him. I hope she washes her hands after she is around him...
DeANNA...DON'T EAT HIS FOOD!
I like Ron, but not for DeAnna. I think he has too much experience and history for her.
Did I mention that I LOVE Graham???
I felt bad for poor Twilley. They just don't work together. He can't get his words out. It shouldn't be that hard!

Until next week...

Blog Book Club

How fun does that sound?!?! I am starting a blog book club. I read books pretty fast, so I will try to give advanced notice as to which book I will be reading next. (Side Note: If you haven't read Twilight by Stephanie Meyers yet...READ IT! See previous post for more info.)

Here's how it will go. The book for the month of June is My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult. They are even filming a movie based on the book starting Cameron Diaz. Toward the end of the month I will post some questions based on book and hopefully we can get a good discussion via the comment section of the blog!

Here is a short synopsis of the book! Hope it is a good one! Let me know if you are interested.

Bachelorette

The Bachelorette premiered last night. I loved watching Trista on the other bachelorette and am now excited about DeAnna's turn. I didn't watch the London Bachelor, or where ever he was from, but I did see the one with Brad from Austin. I still can't believe he didn't pick either girl, but they seem to be moving along just fine. I will try to post each week with my thoughts on who will make it the farthest. Time will tell!

I love Graham. Super cute! I think he is going to make it very far!
Did she seriously keep Twilley???
I would have much rather seen her keep Chandler! I thought he had potential!

I think Ron is another one to watch out for. I know he is divorced, but we don't know why. I have a feeling he will open up and turn into a good catch. We'll see...

I don't know about Jason. At first, when he was talking about his son, I thought he was GREAT. Then, as the night went on, I wasn't so sure. I can't pinpoint what it is, but I think he has some issues, maybe anger, maybe jealously. I think she may keep him for awhile, but he will cause tension.

Those are my predictions! Did ya'll watch?

TWILIGHT!!!!!

For all you book lovers, hold on to your seats! My friend Kallie recommended the book, Twilight, by Stephanie Meyer right after Christmas time. All she told me was I had to go buy this book. It was not a Christian book, it was fiction and I could find it in the Young Adult section. There is nothing racy or too sexy or scary, but it is addictive. There are currently three books out in this series, Twilight, Eclipse and New Moon. They are all around 400-600 pages and I read them in 6 days. Jillian was 7 weeks old at the time. It was crazy. There isn't anything too obviously philosophical or life altering, but you fall in love with the characters and the events that follow.

GO BUY THE BOOKS!!!

Summit films is currently wrapping up filming as they are making a movie based on the books. Y'all, it is going to be awesome. Check out this to see a sneak peak at the film. I don't think it will give to much away.

SERIOUSLY, GO BUY THE BOOK...TWILIGHT BY STEPHANIE MEYER!

You will love it!
